One of our favorite things to do is explore the Sloop. Our neighborhood is packed full of beautiful, interesting and historic places and obviously our goal is to try to capture that on Sloopin. With that said, we've added a new feature we like to call Shots Around the Sloop. You will be able to see the pictures cycling through on the right side of the site starting now.
We do a ton of picture taking on our end, but we know most of you do too. So please help us expand our Sloopin library and send us your shots. Simply send them to sloopin@gmail.com and we will post them to the section.

I am totally digging "Shots Around the Sloop." And sloop photographers should know: The 10th Annual South Loop Neighbors Photo Contest & Show is currently accepting entries. Deadline is July 15. This is a juried photo show with more than $1000 in cash prizes. Photos should represent the lifestyle, culture, or history of the South Loop. The winning picts and 20 finalists will be exhibited at a variety of South Loop venues, including Chicago Community Bank and the Harold Washington Public Library.
