Heard on the Streets of the Sloop...

On a random Thursday night, walking south on the West side of Wabash, a 30 something woman dressed in a business suit yells across the street to a city worker giving people tickets for expired meter tickets:
Do you like your job ruining peoples days?
Although we feel her pain...don't shoot the messenger, he's just doing his job. Take it up with the boss man.

I at partially, but not strongly, disagree. Police enforcement, especially in Chicago, is particularly callous and careless to the population that it serves. Government should realize who pays it and for whom it works (really, it's the top 3% of tax payers, so I guess that makes sense).

Granted, Ticket Writers are just enforcing existing laws and driving is indeed a privilege BUT you have to admit that Daley and all his various and sundry "wheel taxes" has people at each others throats.

Please write more tickets. I don't want more furlough days. And if you parked illeagly, you owe.

Or, potentially, follow the rules & regs of driving and parking?
