Buddy Guy Gets Obama to Sing Sweet Home Chicago Chorus

We've said it a hundred times, but the Sloop is lucky to have Buddy Guy call the neighborhood home to his blue's club, Buddy Guy's Legends (700 S. Wabash). Anyway, just thought we would post a video of Mr. Guy "encouraging" President Obama to sing an ode to his "hometown":

While it ain't easy being the pres, it must be nice to have Buddy, Mick Jagger, BB King, Derek Trucks, among others play your house for a concert.

We also want to note that a young 28 year-old, up and coming blues artist by the name of Gary Clark Jr. also got to share the stage with the other much more accomplished performers (see man to the right of Jagger, with red guitar and hat on). We saw Gary at last year's DMB Caravan and other Chicago music lovers probably took notice of him at Eric Clapton's 2010 Crossroads festival at Toyota Park in Bridgeview - we suggest you do too:

We like Buddy Guy, Obama singing Sweet Home Chicago and Gary Clark Jr.'s talent!

Oh, and I'm sure you were twice as outraged by Bush's vacations. If you'd like a dose of reality ....

This is from story above, from last august: So far, President Obama has taken 61 vacation days after 31 months in office. At this point in their presidencies, George W. Bush had spent 180 days at his ranch where his staff often joined him for meetings. And Ronald Reagan had taken 112 vacation days at his ranch.

How dare you bring actual facts into a political argument!

Obama should obviously be locked in the oval office until all national debt is eliminated and we have residences set up on the Moon.

This guy has been the biggest failure in our lifetime, even worse than Jimmy Carter. Everything out of his mouth is lies and half-truth distortions of reality. He spends the rest of his time apologizing for being American.

After spending years blaming Bush for everything, including gas prices, he now says the presidential office can do nothing about fuel prices. Yet at the same time, he is trying to take credit for increase oil production derived from permits given during the Bush years, while new permits approved during the Obama years for exploration & production have plummeted, on top of not approving new pipeline permits.

At the same time his administration attacks Catholics, while claiming now that access to free birth control is not suddenly a "right", yet goes out of his way to partner with Muslim organizations for a volunteer muslim outreach program at colleges and universities.

Please let this Hopeless & Change end.
