Just North of the Sloop a Unique Entrance

It's not that close to the Sloop (however still walking distance), but a reader is curious and asking for some help:
I know it's in the Loop, not the Sloop but do u know what this is at Madison and Michigan? Hotel?

Anyone?

(Hat tip: CPM!)

There was a large crew filming around there yesterday afternoon; some biopic about the early days of Hugh Hefner and Playboy in Chicago. Perhaps it's just a temporary entrance that was used for the filming of a certain scene?

Supposedly for a new show called Playboy, I believe is name. A friend of a friend's company is working on this project.

Here's more info on the show. I googled "Teamsters Playboy"

I think I heard it was a movie set.

I've heard they're using it to shoot some scenes for a pilot episode about the playboy bunny club.

They are filming a pilot tv show called "The Playboy Club"

A TV pilot for
"The Playboy Club" is being filmed

Saw that Wednesday when I and my husband were looking for a spot to eat. Had to Google it then because I figure if they were opening a Playboy Club downtown I would have heard about it.

I actually was over at Pizano's (next door) yesterday for a little tourney action. Apparently they are shooting a pilot for a new show. The premise is based on the story of the first African-American woman to make it as a Playboy centerfold.

They should leave it. Looks cool.

The building is the Chicago Athletic Club annex at 71 E. Madison. The club shut down about four years ago, hoping to sell the site to a hotel/condo developer.
