Gioco Re-Opens with a Some New Items on the Menu

As posted last week, Gioco (1312 S. Wabash) was scheduled to re-open for dinner on Wednesday, April 27th.

Well judging by the calendar, it's now the day after and it appears that all is back to normal at Gioco. Upon walking by the restaurant, lights were on, patrons were eating and the newly stained wood doors looked great!

Besides improvements to the doors, it sounds like some additional changes were in store:
The restaurant will re-open at 5 P.M. with a new menu which includes home-made gnocchi with wild mushrooms and an antipasto assortment of cured meats and cheeses.
So did any readers go to Gioco for dinner last night? Back to normal? New and improved?

Good experience at Gioco's last night. I didn't see a significant difference in the quality of food, which I enjoyed previously.

The one key difference, is that you can tell that they are hyper aware of providing good service to welcome people back. Several people stopped by our table to make sure that we were enjoying our meal.

Went to Gioco last night. I agree with the first poster about people stopping by asking how everything was. I don't recall that ever happening before they closed down. In any case it was a great meal as it was always before. We're glad to have them back!

We ate there last night, and it seemed just like the old Gioco.
