One of the major perks of living in the South Loop is the proximity to the amazing, world class museums of Chicago. With that said, we recently hit up one of our favorites, the Shedd Aquarium.
I have been a member of the Shedd Aquarium since moving to the South Loop and highly recommend it to everyone. Not only is it ridiculously affordable and gives you V.I.P. access (you don't have to stand in the daunting entry line), it's like having a world class aquarium in your back yard! I have been roughly ten times this past year and each time is unique and different.
This past time I found out that the “Wild Reef” is free with my membership. It was a beautiful escape into the Wild Reefs of the oceans… with 100s of different coral varieties, several beautiful fish and sea creatures that are otherwise not found within the Shedd. Did I mention the tank is filled with massive sharks and fish?
I recommend that everyone go visit this at the Shedd…I know I will be going back!
