My money (and hope) is on Jewel.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1167519580792566980.post-71908617199601163292012-04-18T11:30:49.493-05:002012-04-18T11:30:49.493-05:00A welcome addition to the neighborhood. The city is hoping to slow down the traffic on Clark to the posted limit.

I'm sure the people on 15th street enjoy having the light to help enter their development.Juan from South Loopnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1167519580792566980.post-72613321705110327462012-03-27T08:51:40.083-05:002012-03-27T08:51:40.083-05:00The "Greenery" on the roof, actually has...The "Greenery" on the roof, actually has nothing to do with it being a "Green" roof. (I know it sounds counterintuitive) But the building will be going for Leed Silver certification, take that for what it's worth. As far as the traffic lights, no plans to remove any existing. The city has an interest in slowing down traffic on Clark, according to the developer. For my two cents, it would be impossible for me to turn left onto Clark(right would be difficult as well during rush hour)from 15th without that light, so I guess I'm biased.Broomyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11997361280249420360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1167519580792566980.post-81172753225180775792012-03-26T21:41:16.011-05:002012-03-26T21:41:16.011-05:00Foreclosures everywhere, vacant lots dot every str...Foreclosures everywhere, vacant lots dot every street from halsted to the lack and south of roosevelt, tons of empty retail space....and everyone here is freaking out about green roofs and stop lights. This is a good thing that Mariano's sees a need. Embrace it and who cares about a stupid light. More traffic lights mean more people and business. The goal is to remove desolate stretches. Can't wait for this place to come in. Drive to the one in the loop all the time and have many lights to go through.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1167519580792566980.post-21430248369498281272012-03-26T15:45:48.079-05:002012-03-26T15:45:48.079-05:00The light on 15th needs to go if they are adding a...The light on 15th needs to go if they are adding another light.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1167519580792566980.post-15744517073442024792012-03-26T14:24:30.969-05:002012-03-26T14:24:30.969-05:00By removing the greenery at the roof, are they sig...By removing the greenery at the roof, are they signaling that the construction will not follow sustainable guidelines?

Another missed opportunity!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1167519580792566980.post-22207987649639987502012-03-26T14:02:41.288-05:002012-03-26T14:02:41.288-05:00With this new light is there any hope of removing ...With this new light is there any hope of removing the completly unnecessary light at 15th???Jim in the Sloopnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1167519580792566980.post-66904437633614352752012-03-26T11:58:56.713-05:002012-03-26T11:58:56.713-05:00Wonderful news, this will hopefully help all our p...Wonderful news, this will hopefully help all our property values.
