Acadia Earns One Star Rating from Michelin Guide for Third Consecutive Year

McCaskey and team in Acadia Kitchen (via Facebook)
Last week it was the Michelin Bib Gourmand list.  This week, it's time for the big dogs...the Michelin Guide stars!

Honestly though, it was relatively uneventful.

The big news was that Grace, the West Loop restaurant at 652 w. Randolph joined Alinea as the only restaurants in Chicago to be awarded the sought after three stars rating.

In local Sloop news, our venerable neighborhood restaurant Acadia earned a one star rating for the third consecutive year.  While we know Ryan McCaskey and team are really shooting for a second star, maintaining their one star rating is still nothing to sneeze at.

If that's not enough for McCaskey maybe he can hang his hat on the fact that he recently won the judges award at the inaugural Ramenfest at BellyQ this past weekend.  Maybe not as prestigious, but probably more fun.

In other local Michelin star news, Everest, the classy French Lettuce Entertain You restaurant at 440 s. LaSalle, also retained their one star rating.

Congrats to everyone and our South Loop restaurants!
