We have a big tube tv we need to get rid of (donation places won't take electronics more than 7 years old).
Anyone know of anyone who will pick up/dispose of?
The only option I have found is the city electronic recycling sites, but the TV is too big/heavy to fit in our car. Any readers have suggestions??

I dropped my giant old tube TV off at Best Buy. But it required me driving it there.
ReplyDeleteThere's a billboard by quarry park in Bridgeport that advertises a company that takes corporate electronics. I can't remember the name, but maybe they know of someone who will take consumer electronics?

Freecycle...people will take anything it seems.

ReplyDeleteI donated my tube TV and a bunch of stuff to Chicago Chesed Fund, about a year ago -- they even picked it up and hauled it away, which was fantastic.

Anyone know about recycling batteries? I thought a law/ordinance was passed requiring at least some businesses to recycle them, but sloop businesses only accept rechargeable batteries. Imanaged tp get homedepot to accept some but only because they agreed to take them before asking whether they were rechargeable.
